Qantas just rang to warn of 'a little delay' on QF128 from HKG to SYD, scheduled to leave HKG at 2110 tonight, then rescheduled to 2230. Given that the lady mentioned the flight hadn't left London yet (at 1100 HKG time), should I try to move to another flight?

Many thanks for any advice.

Given that she said it had not left London, I would not take any information she provided with a high level of certainty. QF128 does not originate in London. The only QF flight that starts in London and continues through HKG is QF30 LHR-HKG-MEL. As far as I can tell, the aircraft that operates QF128 is the same one that operates QF127 SYD-HKG the same day.

However, QF127 departure from SYD today has been cancelled. So stand by for more potential changes??? Unless of course they are ferrying in another aircraft from London :confused:. Perhaps the one that had a vibrating engine that diverted to FRA ois coming back on-line as QF128 tonight? Hmm, anyone's guess.

That was quick! Thanks, what a great resource this is.

I'll keep my fingers crossed then.

Ahh, so as previously posted QF198 is possibly morphing into QF128 as far as metal is concerned!
My mistake. QF127 was changed recently to a A330-300. This is the one that was cancelled out of Sydney today. And consequently QF198 (also an A330) has been cancelled out of HKG.

QF187 is the 744 service from SYD to HKG that turns around as QF128. Its departure from SYD was at 14:48, only some 23 mins late.

So I would suggest the real reason for delaying QF128 this evening is to align its departure time with the cancelled QF198 so passengers arriving at the airport for QF198 will not be left behind.

Where did you get the loading info? That's handy....

Mr!
My Guess is expertflyer.com
Yup, only USD99 PA. (I renewed in early July ) (For me in my employment role I have been able to claim it as a tax deduction).

If you specify QF (and QF only) for the airlines you get Qantas flight information > 330 days out (as well as a few other classes such as X, no U sadly).

I paid $84.99:D The discount code from admin works on renewals:cool:, asumming you are gold or above.
When it came time for my ExpertFlyer renewal I was considering paid status. However, the links for AFF subscription were broken on this site at the time.

Subsequent to that, the links have been fixed, but not in time for moi. As I had over 40 saved queries I was not about to risk losing them.

Since then I was asked if I would like to be a moderator, so any such subscription is now moot.
