VA were great when flying with an infant, but I have an OOL-AKL flight with a now 2 yr old (child fare) and the website doesn't mention if the pram is a free checked item?

My daughter turned 2 earlier this month.

Luggage is included with domestic airfares and for international short haul you may need to purchase Go Plus airfare that includes up to 23 kgs luggage for the child.

Thanks - we are flying on the 29th of Oct, so once the new trans tasman service model kicks in, so will have at least 1 free bag...would be nice not to have to waste it on the pram though!

Here is the response I got from VA

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. Children are entitled to the same baggage allowance as adults. Adults accompanying children are entitled to carry two special equipment items, as checked baggage free of charge. These include items, but are not restricted to the following: Pram/stroller Portable cot Car seat Baby capsule
