Hi all

I'm intending on booking a domestic JQ flight from BNE-CNS at 9:40PM, Sunday 22nd of July. I've chosen this time so that I can take full advantage of the Brisbane QP. Upon searching for their opening hours, it states that on Sunday the QP is closed. Surely not, right? I was intending on using the lounge from 7-9PM.

Would someone be able to give me an idea of what time they close on a Sunday? Screen Shot 2018-07-03 at 1.57.13 pm.png

Why would you look at some generic google result, rather than checking the Qantas website?

The last scheduled departure on Sundays appears to be the 2100 flight to Sydney - so you are likely to be out in the terminal for a while after 9pm.

There is no need to belittle me. I'm new to this whole thing. I've only just become a member of the Qantas club. I'm still learning. I'm also quite sick at the moment and I'm really going through the wars, so perhaps I'm not thinking straight.

Thank you for the information.

You’ll find the QP staff will announce a boarding call for you around 2100 anyway. I’m regularly on the JQ flight to Newcastle at 2005 and they always call boarding at around 1930. Of course, the flight is never actually boarding - Jetstar just want you at the gate so there’s no delay (and it can be a fair walk)

Thanks Justin, I appreciate the info :)

I was thete until ~8:00pm on Sunday.

Take note that QF559 at 9:00pm is usually the last QF flight on a Sunday and the lounge closes when boarding is called for this flight. Lounge does not stay open for the late JQ flights.

During daylight saving the last QF flight is around 8:30pm so lounge closes earlier again.

Thanks John :) It seems that the last flight is QF559 from BNE-SYD at 21:00. Surely this would mean that the lounge would close at 20:30?

For a QF flight they’ll probably only call it at 2040 - and even then they’d just begin to close then.

What if you’re on the toilet?

As mentioned around 8:40pm but could be earlier if they are boarding earlier. Someone does walk around informing guests that lounge is now closed so at a guess you would have 5-10 minutes to pack up and leave.

QF767 the 8:20pm BNE-PER flight has been known to be late at times.
