Hey all!

So my anniversary date is end July 2018 and I've got a flight mid July which will bring me from bronze to silver for the first time (yay!).

From August to December I've got a few work trips already booked in and having calculated and including the loyalty bomus, I'm pretty much gold as of Jan 2019!

However, Does this mean from Jan 2019 - July 2019 I still need to earn 600 sc to keep gold or drop to silver, or, do I have from Jan 2019 - July 2020 to earn 600 sc to keep gold?

Seems a little confusing and I would think one would get awarded with more months since I flew alot within a short time.

Thanks!

Unlike Cathay Pacific's Marco Polo Club, your SCs will NOT reset from the moment you hit a higher tier, but only resets at the start of a new anniversary year.

Basically if you get Silver BY 31 Jul 18, you will retain Silver on 01 Aug 18 (New year), while your SC count will drop back to 0 on that first day of the new anniversary year.

You will then have that full year UNTIL 31 Jul 19 to retain Silver by achieving 250SCs, or go for a TOTAL (not on top of 250) of 700SCs to get Gold for the first time. On 01 Aug 19, you will retain Gold if you achieved that 700 mark. Once again that SC count will drop back down to 0.

Repeat on the following anniversary year (01 Aug 19 ~ 31 Jul 20) to retain Gold, with only a 600SC requirement.

Simple answer - you will have gold for 18 months at least.

That is until July 2020.

To requalify SG beyond then you will need to gather the 600 SC between August 2019 and July 2020.

As other have said, if you earn silver you keep silver for the rest of your current membership year (to July 18) and your next one (to July 19).

Your status credits reset back to zero on 1 August 2018, and although you are silver, and you'll need the full 700 SCs to get to gold.

Once you have gold, you stay gold for your current membership year and the next one. So that would be gold until July 19 (current year) and gold until July 2020 (next membership year).
