The death of the telephone > (or quick draw mcGrumpyguts does it again )

Our home phone receives 90% junk and the very occasional legit call.
Friends all use mobile and or text.
I have become super blunt and quick to hang up, and I think I just hung up on a legitimate caller..
I assume that they will find me some other way, but wonder if the legit callers understand the situation.

I don't think I've actually hung up on a legit caller but I have given some a hard time or ignored them until I realise it is actually a call for me and not just a random call centre or scam.

For Denali
We have stayed at Peppers Seaport and it is quite nice.Their restaurant is pretty good as well.
Quest in town.large apartment style rooms.Good if you were going shopping but arriving on the 25th I guss that is not so.
Also have stayed at the Charles-mantra-Over the road from LGH.But you need a front side room so a view over Lonnie.
For vacation stays the Peppers wins.
My usual long TR about my stay.
Ronnie in Lonnie.

Took a quadruple heart bypass survivor to the Richmond vs West Coast Eagles AFL football game last night. Because of lung complications he was in hospital for a month.
He thinks his bills will be about $80,000 as his recovery last month was so slow.
Now he has to get used to a Resmed sleep machine and I was surprised he wasn’t carrying any medication in his pocket. He said he forgot.

Apparently the Queen nagged him to "Keep waving, Philip" so almost 100yrs old and married 70+yrs and you still get nagged by the Mrs.
Yes. The nagging starts on the first day and lasts a lifetime. Some even continue past that....

They have no regard for anyone. How much time should you leave to get to your destination? I had planned to get to OOL at 2:30pm for a 3:55pm flight and only just made it. Should I have allowed more time? Saturday/Sunday may not be as important as weekdays but shutting down an important central rail network at that time is stupid.

Pay overtime and work at nights when trains are not scheduled to run.

Or catch an Uber / taxi

Co worker walks in.

Me: Morning.
Her: Hi. Im so sick.
Me: Then WHY are you here?!!!
Her: Oh, Im not really sick. Im on the tail end of being sick.
Me: You work 4 feet away from a pregnant woman - why are you here?
Her: *crickets*

Many thanks and an enjoyable read! Sadly we wont have as much time in Launceston this trip as we're heading to Cradle Mount.

Interesting you said that the Quest was better than the Mantra. I think Im going with either Peppers or Sebel, comes down to room and price.

Or is it when taking public transport, you allow more time while uber/taxi ect, you might cut it too close?

Actually not in my experience.
I’ve missed flights because of road congestion but I’ve never (touch wood) missed flights because of public transport bus/train

Car/Uber/taxi more convenient not more reliable
I've missed flights due to both. Remember coming up to Toowong for interview 10 years ago on a Friday morning and going back Friday afternoon. Should have gone back by ttain but they kept me a little too long and try finding a taxi Friday afternoon. Wsiting and waiting and then traffic. Got the call from Qantas "where are you?" around Eagle Farm. Luckily moved to other flight free of charge but I wasn't paying.

Think I would have made it with train.

It has become natural for women to want to give orders.
Oh, please.

As if we wake up in the morning thinking, Woohoo - today I get to tell him to do the same freaking thing THREE TIMES to get it done, while I still hold down a full time job, do laundry, prepare dinner, clean up ect. Yeah - lets add another task to our lives, which is to get grown coughd adults to adult for themselves.

But I could be projecting :)
