Hi guys

If I'm looking at booking a flight on another carrier which is a Qantas partner (also an eligible partner for status credits) then how can I see how many status credits I can potentially earn? For instance, I'm on Jetstar's website browsing fares from DPS-KUL. I'd like to know how how many status credits this will give me. I'd also like to see how many I could earn travelling on Malaysian airlines.

PS: When I joined a few weeks ago, you all said "Welcome. Wait until you discover the wonderful world of AFF, you'll be doing status runs and be keeping tabs on your status credits all the time." I thought "Nah, not me."

Yes me. Each day now ;)

Use the QF calculator on their website.

When browsing fares on JQ website, it tells you in the fare bundle inclusions how many QFF points and SC you'll earn.

Do you mean in here? I can't seem to find it

The Qantas points calculator had been reported as being 'down' for a few days, while they 'improve' it. It might be a while before it works properly again!

Edit: looks to be available. Have a look at the 'qantas site a mess' thread about this.

Would someone be able to take a screenshot of where Jetstar displays the status credits/points earned with the bundle? I’ve been searching and cannot find it anywhere.

Oh, it looks like they've changed it since a few months ago. It used to say something like "You'll earn X points and X status credits"

Best just to use the QF calculator. The link from Jetstar is broken, I'm not surprised.

Hi all

I've used the qantas points calculator like you've suggested, however I'm unsure of which Jetstar bundle gives me the 30 status credits flying from ADL--CNS. Jetstar have several bundles. Which one do you think it is? Qantas refer to it as Flexible Economy, which is not what Jetstar have named any of their bundles..

It will be the Max bundle.
The starter fare has zero SC’s
You can search for Jetstar fares on the Qantas website aswell and click on the fare type and it will tell you the miles and SC’s earned.
If you have time you could perhaps fly QF ADL-CNS via Brisbane and you would earn double the SC’s for about $150 more.
