Award redemption on QR

Cant seem to find much award availability for PER-DOH and return throughout the year.

Is there a specific cutoff date before they close award availability?

Really? I snagged ADL flight to Venice then return from Budapest - for 2 people in J. I started checking 12 months out though. Leaving in 3 weeks.

ADL seems to be easiest. Cant see much from Perth. Scattered J class availability.

Unfortunately you need to be flexible also if booking award seats. We’ve gone out through Brisbane even though in Adelaide.

That's good to know. We'll be returning from somewhere in Europe next year (Zurich?) so will keep an eye out.

I've gotten QR award seats OK in the past. But flights originating in DOH for some reason have never shown up in the tables and you have to call, without fee.

Flying back from Madrid on QR though the booking was made about 11 months out and on the new DOH-SYD-CBR service

The trick is to try searching on the BA website.

Or, just call Qantas - if they 'see' the award route, you can book it. If they can't, then you can't.
