Good news though, the photos are all different from my horror flight so it could be worse :D

I suspect the plane you were on was an ex-Air Europa one - I think they got their A330's from monarch, Air Europa, and this latest one just last month from AirBerlin

Just found my boarding pass! It was Omni air. But looking at their website, they only have an all-economy 777 so there must've been another lease in there.

Edit: Omni Air Intl Overview .... slide 3, there it is. 757 apparently. Shudder.

Now that's decided, I'll ask the question I've been wanting to ask: Wamos Air. Is that pronounce 'Vamoose' Air? :)

WAMOS is a new tourism group owned by the company Andros (with Springwater Capital as majority shareholder) and Royal Caribbean.
  • Springwater Capital LLC is a fund based in Geneva (Switzerland) that manages more than 500 million euros. The company invests in the countries of German and Italian influence, and in 2014 landed in Spain and Portugal.
  • Royal Caribbean , a cruise company belonging to Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. based in the city of Miami (United States) and with 21 ships in service.
Not sure the origins of the name of the group though.

They now have 6 747's and 5 A330's. Seem to be growing. I'm sure the current stuff-up with 787 engine maintenance is driving their current growth. I know they have aircraft committed to Latam and Avianca on decent term leases to replace 787's that are offline.

Hey there all, just got in to Colombia - I survived Wamos!!

I jotted notes down and took some photos - do I do a trip report or a "review"?? Where should I post it all?

Read on airliners.net that LA are now also leasing the Wamos 747.
