Quick questions for Melbournians.... Can I buy a single train ticket from Flinders St Stn to Middle Brighton? (or do I have to get your version of Opal card? )

You will have to get a Myki card. Keep it safe and use it when you next visit the DPRV.

You have to get a Myki (They cost $6 for adults. Any concession would need to be organised well in advance, but they can post it to you).

When are you coming? I can post you a Myki.

I have about a dozen cards because someone is good at leaving them behind and needing to buy a new one.

The jerk was 65ish. Well dressed, but overweight. Briefcase etc.

I’m not sure if I should divulge my knight in shining armour’s age, however, he’s slightly younger than the jerk.
You see I have a theory. And a huge generalization. Older men are used to a different world. Where women don’t play much of a role <edit - in the workplace and in senior positions>. Esp ones that aren’t sweet young things. And that attitude carries on well past working life. Younger men are in a different world, maybe their senior is a woman and so there is a different attitude.

Depends where the 02 emergency equip is, sometimes you have to share only one row 1 compartment and the guy sounds like he had too much carry on (not knowing the airline rule).

And lets not forget he 1, shouted at her (wtf) and then attempted to remove her property. Yeah, nah. Thats not going to happen.

I had a guy ATL-SCL try to remove my husband overhead from its space, I told the guy touch the bag and I'll give him what for. He of course didnt understand "I'll give you what for" meant but knew not to upset the big, angry, tired, middle aged woman and left the bag alone.

Edit: I posted the photo elsewhere but this was a guy with oversized carryon.

I had a guy in BNE pick up my wallet & phone from the bin as it was about to go through the scanner, transfer them to another bin and then put his bag into my old bin. It didn’t actually make any sense. After I got through the body scanner I caught up to him and told him he must never touch another persons belongings ever again. He asked me what my problem was. I told him in quite a loud voice that he could be a DRUG runner or work with EXPLOSIVES. I’m 151cms tall and he looked kinda shocked. I was hoping that security would come and question us, but they’re not as on the ball as you might think in Brisbane.

I also complained to the scanning personell as well, and you know? They just shrugged.

Honestly though, what if this man had transferred drugs or explosives residue onto my belongings?

Edit for Pushka: 70-75 yo old male. Well dressed. Not overweight

I totally object when someone else touches my stuff in the security area. And this is another tick to my theory.

Oh dear. I can almost agree, except that my hubby fits some of that physical description, and yet he’s quite the gentleman. All the men that I know treat me like a princess (otherwise, why would we be friends?), but the ones who haven’t met me yet, might take one look and assume I’m a pushover!

Define old? My dad is nearly 80 and doesn't think that way. My parents have been going to a female GP for over 20 years and I also go to her while I am in Sydney.

That's why hubby likes to be on first. He's settled in row 1 before the other pax show up. Usually the priority boarding rush are status pax but Y.

Yes. I’m in the same place at home too. And I know there are some nice Gents on this thread too and hence ‘generalization’ as it can’t be a blanket statement. But a trend maybe?

Refer above :). I’m thinking it’s men in corporate roles rather than those dedicated to serving others. But also, it isn’t what the men think they are doing, it’s how that translates in actions.

Quality is good, Ive been happy with card stock and Ive use them for our office as well, just ordered some new self inking stamps today.

Edit: There is a Health and Social Services>Medical Professional category for some inspiration but some are a bit out there.
If I send them a PDF of a business card, do they need a bleed around it?

I think the guy snapped more because he knew he was doing wrong/being cheeky in having too much carry on and as per usual in that situation, instead of apologizing he got defensive.

Seems to be a common occurrence. People don't like being called out when they know they are in the wrong.
