First status run!

Off on my first status run. Living in the middle east, it's hard to get credits. Qatar airways is stingy with the credits. Lucky there is UL.

DOH > CMB > KUL > SIN > BKK > SIN > KUL > CMB > DOH

Should be a fun weekend. 420 SC, and my 4 qantas group flights for gold. And I'll pass into life time silver on this trip. Only 6900 SC to go until LTG hahaha

Can report, DOH Al mourjan lounge sandwich bar is no longer al la carte. Menu of 6 sandwiches only. Decent, but not what i'd read about - pick your own, whatever you want. Sad the novel concept is gone.

Thanks all....part way through now. Looking forward to aerotel singapore for 6 hrs of kip!

I might add, the reason I chase status - free baggage. I am a technical and ccr cave diver, I travel a lot and even 2 x 23kg bags is only just enough for me for a trip. 2 x 32kgs in most instance!

LTS i've gotten through work flights mostly. LTG will be on my own buck.

I did save a huge amount of money with a strategic status match to airnz, saved me 1300usd in baggage for a trip to KWA and back. not to mention my mate who saved the same amount, as same pnr. ripper stuff!

Interesting job I'd reckon! My +1 bought me diving lessons for Chrissie (the ploy obviously being I'd have to shout her the same ), but I'll leave that sub-mariner cave gig to you!
