Someone (drron) just left a bag of white chocolate Lindt balls on the back seat of the Avis rental car when he returned it !! ME :didn't you check the back seat of the car ?? !! Him: I thought you did ! I was carrying 10 shopping bags of goodies !!! He will be sorry leaving my medication in the car !:mad::p:eek:

Aren’t you still in the states? Just buy some Ghirardelli! In the days where I ate chocolate regularly (I.e. not just at Christmas or on planes), I always had around 4kg of Ghirardelli squares in my luggage after a trip to the USA.

My husband visits the Lindt factory to get the new flavours.

He filled up a box recently for his cousin/optometrist, the staff were ohhing and ahhing over the different flavors.

To get away from the smelly bogans. :p
The funny thing is you (I) don't come across many bogans on Qantas flights. Most are generally well behaved except for that one flight BKK-SYD that made an unplanned transit in CNS! ;)

I just completed (well almost) some work when a tree branch went through some roof tiles, too small a job to claim insurance on. I'll probably complete the job properly sometime next year and I'll keep everyone informed of my progress or lack there of.

I'll continue to deal with the facts associated with my experiences. If there's ever some doubt in my mind I'll seek the help of a Theologian.
John, I once again recommend that you go and watch the movie I recommended to you previously. With your beliefs I am sure you will enjoy it as it shows the Mexican belief in the afterlife.
John,

I strongly recommend the new Disney animation movie Coco to you. It's all about how the Mexicans view the 'next' life and it is very well told and pitched at multiple levels for different age groups.

Disney spent a bunch of time in San Miguel Mexico (where our daughter and family were staying) ensuring they got the details right.

My accountant sends me annoying letters sometimes. We run an SMSF and have done since 1993. I obviously have to account for every spend. I email him all share transactions, invoices etc and account in an invoice fashion for every cent in and out of the account. I send it to him in PDF and downloaded spreadsheet. After he’s done his thing it gets independently audited. But Each year he sends me info about an insurance policy we can take out to cover his accountancy fees should we get audited. There would be nothing he would need to do - he has already (should have) used tax invoices etc to account for every single transaction so if there is a mistake it can only be on his calculations. Be damned if I am taking out his policy (that he probably gets trailing commission on anyway).

Ah the joys of tradespeople. We're having the wing fences done this week. One of the fencers brought their dog to roam around while they were working. The resident cats are not happy! Especially the indoor cat who resides with me.

Next up, in March a complete bathroom and toilet strip out and rebuild. Plus having the 40+ year old oven replaced.

The Pet Hotel has already been booked.

I prescribe the white chocolate and coconut ones - they are the best calming medication I know apart from Sav Blanc :D
I had 2 of these on the QF flight SYD-BNE Saturday night. Usually the best part of the evening flights.

Think best to leave the consumption of this medication only to QF flights. ;)

My brother just rang to say that his wife's brother had died of a probable heart attack. That is sad enough for her family, especially his wife & children. (I would only see him once every three or four years so he was not a particular friend of mine).

However, what makes it even more confronting is that he died on a visit to the Falkland Islands. I haven't got the full story but I assume that he and his wife were on a voyage to the Antarctic. Anyway, it appears that his wife is now stranded on the Falkland Islands. I assume he was taken to the local hospital and the ship departed.

Apparently there are only a couple of flights a week from there and she may have to try to get on a military flight to London and then travel home to Perth. So not only has she lost her husband of some 40 years but has a horrendously complicated, and long, path to get herself and his remains back here.

I also hope they had adequate travel insurance.

A sudden death is awful enough but this sounds so difficult for the partner left stranded in such a remote area. Best wishes.

Was it a Border Collie?
