When are points added to account?

I booked and paid for my international flight over a week ago, but my points haven’t been added to my account yet. Are they only added once I’ve actually been on the flights?

You wont get any points until after you complete your flight. This is so just in case you cancel your flight.

Don't forget to keep your boarding pass just in case the points don't automatically post to your account.

The reason they post after flying is that your plans could change, you could cancel the booking or change the flights or whatever so you only get credit once travel is completed.
