I have 2 options and would like the opinions of the experts:

5 1/4 hour non stop flight in First on AA 737-800 MCO-LAX
OR
5 1/4 hour non stop flight in First on DL 757-200 MCO-LAX

What are your thoughts on this (Not interested in lounge access) depart and arrive times are within 60mins and not important

DL is better in my experience for domestic. But it's been a while since I've used them.

If something were to go wrong/oversold, which would look after you better by way of status or some other metric?

It very much depends on which 757-200 you get on DL. I think it’s still pretty variable. The AA 737 has been upgraded and has IFE with personal screen and power outlets, DL only some of these aircraft have them.
I think catering wise DL are ahead of AA but I’d probably stick with AA due to the hard product extras. Both seats are standard recliners so nothing special there.

Well thanks for the replies, it doesn't appear to be major differences so I think I will make the decision based on price at the time of booking.

I'd also be factoring in to relative cost which option earns the best FF reward return in either Velocity (DL) or QFF (AA).

Thanks serfty, that is one variable that I hadn't thought about. From what I can see DL points would be 4434 VA or AA would be 4375 with QF. Not much between them so still going to be the price to decide.
