I joined Earth in Mar'08 and the promotion at the time under Reference NO. EAAA8 was to use the Earth card a least 6 times and 5,000 bonus frequent flyer points will be added to your account. I pretty much used the card 6 times in the first week of getting the card. The promotion ended on the 20th April but I have not received any bonus points.
I have contacted westpac on the free enquiry call but they said to contact frequent flyers.
Does anyone know the correct number to ring up about this issue has I have no idea who to contact.

Thanks

I usually call Earth Card Services on 1300 762 284. As far as I know Qantas does credit the frequent flyer points but they are not aware of current Earth promotions so it would be logical to assume that Earth Card Services is the best place to call. I have found that Earth Card Services will ask you to call Qantas but persevere and get someone there to take responsibilty of the issue.

Hi...I do not know the link to your earth Promtion..

But Earth Promotions often have the fine print I have shown below (taken from another offering):

^ 10,000 Qantas Frequent Flyer points will take up to 12 weeks to be allocated if the above mentioned criteria are met."

If this is so in your promotion...then you might have to wait till your 12 weeks are up.

From the issuers point of view it makes sense to not just hand over the points too quickly.

Westpac have an "ask once" mantra that is supposed to combat this sort of thing. Have a look at their website and make reference to it in your next call.

I was struggling with Citibank on similar issues. I dug out a letter that they sent me with a credit card which was signed by the head of consumer lending. I called this person through the citbank switchboard in Sydney and got straight through. Told them what was going on and they had their PA fix it for me that day.

Advice - Go straight to the top if you cant get any sense from the call centre. Senior execs at Banks will always take your call as they like speaking with customers and are scared of the CEO.

I had a similar annoying problem with my earth AMEX card. It offered 2 points per $ spent on Qantas products. I booked a Qantas holiday but was only credited 1 point per dollar. QFF referred me back to earth and it took three calls to them to get it fixed.

Why they bother to advertise bonus offers which they don't deliver without the customer complaining is beyond me.

I was also missing some earth+ bonus points. I bounced around for a couple of weeks between QFF, earth and Westpac call centres.

When the issues get too hard the only way is to use the Westpac "complaints" process. Although you aren't complaining it is escalated to a section whom can sort it out for you.

My issue was sorted out the next day.

I once asked Westpac just who this earth mob was anyway. Still haven't got an answer!

who this earth mob was anyway.

I wondered the same thing. Last time I received a letter from them I googled the name of the sender. The person was a Westpac exec. Since then I have just assumed it is a marketing angle of Westpac.

No secret here - Its a Westpac card with the brand "Earth" as the headline. Its done this way so as not to confuse it with Altitude.

Just look on the Westpac site and go to cards. Its all there.

Its a bit like the Virgin card which Westpac have now exited, although Virgin did the customer service piece and Westpac the rest. They couldn't make money out of it and now want out completely.

Must have been a fairly recent addition as it did not appear there before. In fact you could not find a mention of it in their web site at all. If you go through some paths it is still not there. They went to some lengths to make it look and sound as if it were a third party.

If it were simply a brand, then the staff hould have been able to answer this. Fact is, they didn't know the answer
