Taking a trip to MEL for a photo-shoot tomorrow and was pleasantly surprised to receive an email offering me lounge access in ADL prior to the outbound flight - for a nominal fee or FF points.
Clicked on the link and it tells me they can't retrieve the information. Called up to see why, and I'm informed that either a) lounge is full or b) the designated spots have all been taken, ie: first come, first served.
Rather contradictory to the info on the email that states:
"But hurry! This limited-time offer expires when check-in closes for each eligible flight."
1st world problem I know, but why offer this if you're just going to rip it away?? (CX at least allow you to show your card at the desk before taking 9,000 FF points while you wait.) SMH
Great idea, but huge fail in the execution . . .
