I assume you mean have a look through the FCT, in which case she was fully entitled to tell you 'no'. I'm not sure how diplomatically she did so at the time, but part of me is telling you that even the thought of wanting to "nose around" when you were clearly not entitled to do so means you must have been kidding yourself. To call her Frau Dragon on that pure account seems a bit much.

It probably doesn't help that at one time, many people were gaming access to the FCT, so they were probably inundated with lots of phony passengers passing through.

In Asian ports I'm sure it's purely discretionary as well, as second and third hand experience has told me. In any case, this is completely up to the agent.

You are right it was rich of me. I had access to the normal lounge and really wanted to have a look at the Business lounge. However I reserve the right of using Frau Dragon there is a nice way of saying no and there is a nasty way of saying no.

If you were in the F lounge you are permitted to enter the Senator and Business lounges. If you are already in the Senator lounge you are permitted free access to the Business lounge as well.

If however you were only entitled to the business lounge (business class ticket, no additional status), the lounge agent was correct to deny entry to either a Senator or F lounge. Pax in all lounges deserve some level of security: random people entering lounges without be signed in or recorded would be an invitation for thieves.
