I need to confess. It is not me in the picture but it could be.
Going from 2 x 26" UHD screens in the office to a 13" ultra protable is hard to hack.
Much to my wife's amusement my hand luggage often includes a display - for business and family trips. I went to officeworks with my carry on - and like Mr Bean with his fish looking for a frypan - found the display that would just fit and had a removable base/stand.
I would warn any one keen on the idea that it is best to consider them somewhat disposable - They only seem to last a few trips each - especially if checked in.
For those that really need to get reports and presentations done while on the road you need two things - A second display for your laptop and a good coffee machine (Which I take if I have check in and the destination is not known for its coffee quality).

I'm keen to hear what you do when your hotel.has a dodgy bed

Edit to add: your post was real fun, I was nodding, thinking, oh yeah sounds reasonable, makes sense. But the coffee machine just knocked me over.. smiles :)

There are quit reasonable coffee machines one can pack easily into a carry on. We are not talking full delonghi corporate espresso machine although to tell you the truth I need one somedays.

That's right. As much as I dislike the Nespresso hype a little Nespresso machine fits nicely. They don't travel well as the water reservoirs tend to break but are pretty inexpensive. And you need plenty of capsules - they only hold 7g of coffee and most Australian cafe's have single shots of 11g - so three pods makes a double shot.

The last few posts seem oxymoronic to me - how does your keyboard even allow you to type "real coffee" and Nespresso/pod machines in the same sentence - do you have some cut n paste technique that tricks it o_O

I usually travel with a Minipresso, it makes quite decent coffee.
