On at least one occasion last year, I arrived there in the early morning (~0630 IIRC) and was told it was closed and that I had to use the J lounge.

The MH F lounge is definitely open 24 hours.

Was that during renovations?

From memory the lounges are 24 hours. They have a sleeping suite as well?

This was early September last; I don't recall seeing any sign of renovation work.

May I point out that the OP has already raised this matter on FT: Overnight in MH KLIA F Lounge - FlyerTalk Forums

(As it happens, I will actually be there next week, so if you like I can ask and get a definitive answer).

would appreciate if you could find out if not too much of a hassle...
thing is nobody seems to know for sure...

Well, I showed up just before 0600 this morning and had problems with admission; the people here assure me it is indeed open 24/7. (My experience reported above was apparently associated with some maintenance issue).

Ok to bring this to a close:

Arrived adjust part midnight the other day and was directed into the F lounge.
Asked to use a slumber room, and they gave me a key for it.
Used it till 630am the next morning and proceeded to my domestic flight connection.

So, it is possible to use the slumber rooms overnight in the MH F lounge.
Now, will I do it again? I am not so sure. What I found was the walls were rather thin, and I could hear the snoring from a passenger in a opposite room (thankfully they left around 2am)! Also it did get someone noisy from time to time, with the cleaning staff outside doing their own thing. Still it is free though... Hard to bear that price...

Another data point.
Landed at 4am today and was directed into the MH F lounge.
