Increase in points required for QANTAS upgrades!

Unfortunately, Qf F* is nothing special but I agree that QF F is better than QF J ;)

* Imo, on A380, EY F > SQ F / EK F > TG F > QF F :)

At the moment QFF on the A380 is worthwhile mainly because they still have the Skydroops in J.
The new J suites on the A330s and soon to be on the B789s are almost as good as QFF on the A388 IMHO.
So I would part with 75K points to get out of the Skydroops but not if I could choose a flight with a J suite instead.
Looking forward to PER-LHR!

If once the new J suites are in the A380 the demand drops for F upgrades then QANTAS could be forced to rethink the cost of upgrading to F in points, but somehow I think the demand will still be there.

The A330/B789 J seat is not 'almost as good' as the QF F seat on the 380. The QF F seat is getting on in years but it is still far better than any J offering.

The QF A330/B789 J seat is at best an average (long haul) J seat. Every modern reverse herringbone and some staggered J (long haul) seats are superior to it.

You're entitled to your opinion and ven though I disagree I won't presume to directly contradict you. I'm glad you enjoy the QFF seat.
But the difference between the QFF seat - which you acknowledge is outdated - and the new J seat is notably less than the difference between F & J on any EY aircraft, and far less than the difference between them on an EY A388!
Just as an example.
Nor does the soft product make up for that lack of a yawning chasm of quality between the J & F hard products.
