I suspect a good TA can put this together.
I was interested until I read the 8hr layover in KUL but I realise the world is full of compromise
There's no need to take MH for the second leg - UL has a combo fare with QF. It's around $100 more than MH and has a transit in singapore for ~90 mins.
Google didn't give me that option but I'd probably pay the extra for the SCs
The UL/QF isn't daily - it's like 3 or 4 days a week or something (every other day).
Nice result. Check out CX at LHR. For a WP at HKG, probably QF and Pier F.
So does WP get you into any alliance lounge regardless of metal?
Correct - with very few exceptions, all platinum/gold can access all First/business class OW lounges.

AMS-LON is cheap and easy to book separately, there's tons of flights.
You've booked now but I was going to suggest booking a return and using the ex-Aus leg as the stepping stone for the next trip!

For those less informed people reading the thread, the reason for the return ticket is that it will be A LOT CHEAPER. And the beaches near the CMB airport are nice.
Happy wandering
