I have Qantas Club membership and also 2 Qantas club invitations.
We booked with Qantas to fly to Colombo, and our flight involves a 3 hour stopover in Singapore. Our first flight is QF51 which is fine, but the ongoing flight is QF3423 Operated by U10309K to Colombo and the same situation on the return journey. Will we be able to access a lounge in Singapore and if so what is the best option please ? I would imagine the return flight will be fine as the flight from Singapore is QF52.

What does it say on the back of the invitation?

The ones I just got from ANZ say "your next onward flight that day must be on a Qantas or Jetstar flight number", so if yours are the same I would say yes you should have access.

Mine says the same but I was wondering if my boarding pass for the onward flight says U10309K they might not allow access.

It should say "Flight U10309K marketed as QF3423" on the boarding pass, but the way around this, if not, is to have a printed copy of your eticket which you can show the lounge reception if needed.

Thank you, I will do that.

I could be wrong but don't think Qantas codeshares on UL flights will allow lounge access in SIN with complimentary Qantas club invitations.

Good luck.

Thanks for all the responses. In Sri Lanka atm and have been advised that we have to check in at Colombo airport 5 hours before our flight to Singapore. Is there a lounge there that I can access with my Qantas club membership , return journey is the same , flight number with Qantas and UL ( not really hopeful there) ? Other than that , does anyone know of a lounge that we can buy a one off pass for ? 5 hours is a long time in an airport even though I know it will be busy.

No access in CMB for Qantas Club.

5 hrs seems strange although some airports are known for their queues.

It looks like you can pay US$15 for access to the Exec Lounge, but looks somewhat basic

(That said the Business/First lounges aren't much better)

Thanks, thought as much. Just checked out the exec lounge, a lot to pay for tea/coffee, soft drinks etc, don't think I will bother

How long did it take you to get from T1 ex the QF flight to T3 in SIN for your UL flight to CMB on your outbound journey?

Are you asking as a reference point? Generally no more than 15-20 minutes depending on the arrival gates and assuming Skytrain still in operation for the night.

It was pretty quick, no delays, less than 30 mins. We already had our visas.

Sadly CMB airport hasn't got a great deal to occupy you for 5 hours, I'm surprised so early. Normally I've arrived there 2 hours before for UL and WY flights, no issues.

EDITED.

I doubt there is any airport where you could be occupied for five years. :p

Thankfully my travel agent has confirmed with the airport that 3 hrs will be fine for us. It was good news !!

Our flight is on 4th Jan and the work doesn't start till 6th Jan when they close one runway. I imagine it will be chaos.
