Well I guess there's a first time for everything! I've booked literally hundreds of flights, and I've never come across an airline that doesn't want my money... until now.

I'm trying to book a Japan Airlines flight from HND to cough in February next year. I went through the booking process on their website, then got to this page:

There was no link to complete the payment - just a message that I'd have to wait until 24 October before JAL would accept my payment!

I called the JAL call centre and sure enough, they don't want my money for another 2 weeks. I'd rather pay now and have the booking confirmed, but they won't even let me...

I think that JL and NH (not sure about the LCCs) wont take domestic bookings more then 3 months out, unless it's in conjunction with an international flight.

Japan is different.

Until recently you wouldn't have even been able to book the flight

You're probably right, although I was able to make domestic bookings on 3 other Japanese airlines today without issue.

Just beware of "Class J" as QF does not treat it as such, and JAL don't either :p

We booked HND-OKA recently, flying in December so able to book, but a bit upset I wont be getting 30SC each way per my 'upgrade' ;)

I see you went with Peach, I was considering them for a long time. The plan originally was to fly across to Korea for a day trip/overnight, and Peach was so cheap I considered it. But they only have 1 flight a day, about midnight. Meanwhile JAL had exorbitant prices :( so in the end we just decided a domestic day trip could be more fun!
