Seeking advice on which airline/FF program would be preferred for award seats in J. Idea is to use points/miles for better seats/services.

Flight timing not critical.

Hoping to book 2 trips...one to Auckland, the other to Wellington.

To AKL would be QFF on the EK 380 without a doubt. I did it earlier this year to try out F in EK & have the shower at 40,000 feet & also try the SYD Flounge. Never been to Wellington so can't help there.

Thanks Dr. How many QFF points for r/t?

If you don't mind positioning to CBR, what about SQ's CBR-WLG flight? It can be booked for 21,250 miles each way in J.

QF from SYD to WLG would be 36,000 QF points each way in J, and VA/NZ just slightly less using Velocity points. AA charges 25,000 miles one-way in J, flying QF. These prices are all the same for SYD-AKL, but you can also use QF points to fly EK or LA.
