QFF platinum Benefits

Hi All ,

Couple of questions , As a QFF Platinum with 340k Points ,

1. With Additional Luggage allowance on QF flights as platinum, if i book two tickets and second person is not platinum , does the extra luggage allowance applies to Platinum card holder only or both on same itinerary ? what about priority boarding , seat selection ?
2. I am looking to book the following Itinerary , Mel - GVA ( J) using points 256 K pts + Return CDG - MEL ,Y through points + pay , i dont have enough points for classic reward for second leg , is it possible to book outbound using classic reward and return using points + pay or just $'s in a single itinerary?
3. If i book directly on emirates , how does Oneworld Emerald "Access to preferred or pre-reserved seating" works for online seat selection on emirates site.

My understanding is that
Luggage is for status holder only
Seat selection is for all on the same booking as the status holder.
Priority boarding is all as long as board at same time as status holder.

Not sure about the rest.

1) Hard benefits like luggage only apply to the individuals in a booking. Soft service benefits like priority boarding can be used by all people travelling together.
2) pretty should those can't be booked together on one booking. Which means you might face a big jump up in price for the return even if using P+P. I haven't check the number, but based on a oneway J being 256K point for 2 - that suggests 1 way Y for 2 is 128k points - so you're 42000 points short. I wonder if there are any credit card or epiqure bonus points offer that could be used to make up the short fall?
3) Not sure, but I would expect only qantas platinum would help rather than oneworld emerald.
