Oh my God. People fall for this rubbish?

Now that you mention it, I guess the 11th is tomorrow. I wonder if the phone numbers included actually ring somewhere "useful"

Out of interest I blocked my caller ID and rang the number but it didn't answer.
I also looked up the address on Google maps/earth and it is a house in Bull Creek.

Had one of the tax ones yesterday, wrote down the number and blocked my call, I wanted to play with them for a bit, the call was answered straight away, only to go straight to onhold music.

It is residence in xx Sutcliffe Cl, Seville Grove, WA 6112. I wont post the gentleman's name, the number has probably been appropriated for the email and he has probably received any number of irate telephone calls already.

The Australia Post scam emails are coming thick and fast again, some now using the Post logo to look authentic.
Received this brilliantly worded one without the logo:

A delivery man has not bring your parcel to your place thus no one was at home.
(removed link to PRINT A LABEL) and arrive at postal service to pick up your packing.
(removed link to View Info)
Just in case the box isn't collected within 30 working days We could have the right to claim settlement from you for it's keeping in the amount of 2.92 $ through each hour of holding.

Whilst Australia Post do send emails advising a parcel is awaiting collection you should note that they NEVER send a link or ask you to click on something to print whatever. This is how you can spot a fake a mile away.

One for the grammar thread? Ho hum, these people really are tiresome.

I got one with the header-This email is not a scam.
OK but it's going where all spam goes.

Received identical "Hey you're cute..." emails this morning to 2 different email accounts. Sent at the same time. This indicates they are from the one source and suggests to me they are not associated with the hacked Linkedin scenario or any other online community. This leaves the possibility the scammers have used a name generator and applied it to an isp provider. I have comfort from the latter as it means my personal details have not been compromised anywhere.
Thoughts?

.... and, an email this morning:

" .... Hey hottie let's have some fun. Hi, you're funny. You've got cool pics in your profile :)
My friend gave me your email address, I don't know why but I decided to dropyou a line. I'll be in Australia soon ................ "

Yeah, that's the one. Do you have a commander account?

No Commander account.

My email was through an ozemail.com.au account, and addressed me by First Name, Family Name.

Edit: All sorts of organisations have that email address of mine.

I keep getting requests for payments of invoices... Except the emails all seem to be sent from the future...

Does someone know what I'm going to do?

Happy wandering
