Hi all , the wife is worried that 2D & 2G are taken with a couple with kids, as they are blue. We are in 1D & 1G. I say that these seats are always reserves / not released as they have bassinet option therefore are still blue but the X is overlaying. so the question is , are they taken or not.
EY metal, BNE-AUH 14th April flight 485. Many thanks. M

EF shows seats 2D/G as blocked, not allocated:

As per Oatek, they are just "blocked", not taken.

In a first cabin, the chance that (a) you have the baby bassinets filled, and (b) you have the misfortune that they are noisy babies, is VERY VERY small!!

Tell your wife to relax, and I wish you both a very special flight :)

I didn't think that Etihad has bassinets in first, that of course doesn't prevent an infant from being in the seat.

Yep , they do. I've travelled in 2D & G. You wouldn't know there there as I never noticed them.

We did AUH to BNE last week and it stayed that way up until the airport. I didn't check after that but we were the only pax in F and had our beds made up in 2D/G. I have to say that now I am used to the shock of apartments and the shower (sad what this place does to you), I think the 789 was more comfortable. The IFE sux bad though.

Good to know, they only state that they have them in Y and J on etihad.com.

"They are available on a first-come, first-served basis in Economy Class and Business Class so please book early to reserve one."
