Of cancer - YES! 
(OT- but the genetics stuff in my blood is doing my head in. They currently think I have 2 different genetic blood issues. Basically a disorder that over clots and a disorder that stores too much iron - which if not treated does lead to cancer. What the heck is happening here? But so relieved I don't currently have cancer, (obviously) the rest now detected can be managed - by weekly blood letting of all things if things go as they are heading. A 'work in progress'. )

Been so stressed this week I haven't touched a drop.

I was healthy 3 weeks ago!

Anyone know a vampire?

Haemachromatosis? Are you Scottish or northern Euro decent?
Glad you are clear of any nasties.

Try Welsh, English with a dash of Viking!

Well, the Mumm Rouge will need to wait until next weekend. A nice long one.

Not tried it. Looking it up on my Tyson Stlezer Champagne guide (well worth buying). According to Tyson, this is the same at the Tattinger Brut Reserve, but age an extra year. The dosage is also higher at 17.5g/L.

He gives it 90 points and says its a more serious wine than the packaging suggest. Slightly sweeter than the Brut but not cloying. At $90 this does not sound appealing to me palate, but if that's your thing, it might be worth a try. Can't possibly be worse than the Moet Nectar.

Its meant to be more of a dessert champagne (normal champagne is never meant to be had with dessert). Cheaper in the US but I just didnt get around to trying it last trip.

Have pretty much culled my champagnes down to Moët, Veuve, a smattering of Krug and Dom helped with some Aussie Chandon. No need to look too far elsewhere as I am happy with this lot.
In London I can get tempted to try the 10 quid offers but while the price is good I don't really find them to be outstanding.

Absolutely my 2 staples also - along with Tait and Bolly - but the ladies just love Mumm - Cruiserette will have some gfs around for bubbles and offer them the choice of what's cold and Veuve / Mumm are their 1st choices most time. Gotta keep the girls happy cove.

I missed mentioning the Bolly, the Taitt and the Billecart because I didn't want you to think I was a lush CE.
Never really bothered with Mumm as Mrscove is a long term designated driver.

What did MrsCove do to deserve that!

I thought Moet was being slammed a little here? It is still my preferred drop. Way back it was Veuve but I seem to have moved on. Looking forward to Mumm's in a few days. Tomorrow I would have been consuming the Vintage Moet in F lounge in Melbourne and then Dom on the flight. Boo.

Occasionally you see negative references to Moet - biggest selling label in the world is it not? I guess they must be all wrong?

I've never quite understood the bad rep Moet has got around here either..... Each to their own though.

I don't think Moët's a bad champagne, it's just that for the price there are others I vastly prefer - like Bollinger or Taittinger. It's the same argument you'll find when there's a Penfolds stoush on the other wine threads ;)

I'm not sure that best selling is necessarily the best criteria, for ages Fosters was the best selling lager in Britain and Yellow Tail the best selling red wine. Hardly a recommendation I'd be going on.

Mrscove has been a teetotaler from about a month after we started going out. Designated drivers are a real plus in a long term relationship and I guess it saved quite a bit over the past 46 years. I guess that explains why I have a full cellar.

I can always help you drink it cove.

You know - as a community service.

I wish I was so accommodating to MrP but I love champagne too much.

Penegal when are you coming to Perth to help out. Have figured I cannot drink it all myself even if my use by date is delayed by the latest and greatest medicines.

Have tried but wouldn't say it is commensurate with a $90 price tag... Also, I prefer a drop that's not too sweet and this has a touch too much sugar for my palate.
