Question about guesting into the lounge when not travelling. Travelling with a companion CNS-SYD. Arrive into SYD and that's where I finish. Travelling companion has connecting flight. Can I guest him in even though I'm not travelling but arrived on an earlier flight?
Thanks in advance.

So, WPs have arrivals access?

Domestic Lounge access before or after your flight

  • Qantas Business Lounges in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra offering a dedicated space, increased privacy and a range of business services.
  • Qantas Clubs located around Australia offering a place to unwind before your next domestic
    flight.
Access Domestic Business Lounges or the Qantas Club upon arrival if you have travelled that day on any flight that shows a Qantas, Jetstar Airline or a oneworld[SUP][SUP]®[/SUP][/SUP] flight number on your ticket. You may also bring two guests, who do not need to be travelling.

Edit -this is for QF Platinum FFers - see here

Great! Thanks for all the advice. Never used arrivals access before but will this time!

Ive read about but never witnessed people having issues if the person guesting them leaves.
So if you leave just be careful incase the lounge attendant turf's your friend. But ive read it once or twice so is unlikely to happen.

I was waiting for someone once to guest them into lounge and was in a hurry to board. Stupidly I was pacing near reception and somehow got into conversation about what I was doing and was politely told that if I leave my guest also has to leave.

It's not that they check but my situation was quite obvious. So avoid my stupidity and you should be fine.

I'll go in with my guest and leave the lounge a few minutes later (after a drink). ;)
