On Thursday Jan 28th I tried to make a QFF Booking. I listened to the same music for 40 minutes with no contact. I called again 1 hour later & this time got a message to leave my name & number & someone will get back to me soon. Two days later , I am still waiting for that call.
Has anyone else had this problem ???

Re: Disappointed

Is there a reason as to why the booking cannot be completed online?

Maybe they should give you lounge access on your next flight? ;)

Re: Disappointed

I haven't had a great experience with wait times on the phone to Qantas - maybe it is the time of year?? Their phone numbers also don't seem to accept my DTMF codes on my phone so I can't proceed unless I call overseas numbers with humans on the end.

Re: Disappointed

Fair call - not every award booking is straight forward so fair enough!

Re: Disappointed

Hopefully RedRoo will be able to summon up that return phone call for you. If they don't see this, I'm sure one of us will be able to draw their attention to it on behalf. Let us know.

Also, good idea to put QF in the title next time / this time if someone can change it for traumax. There's also another thread on here addressing this problem with a few other disappointed people in it.

Re: Disappointed

I would be most appreciative if someone could stir them up a bit.
I have saved these QFF points for 10 years, being unable to use them for some time, because Q ceased overseas flights from
Perth until recently.
We have now booked SIA Perth to Singapore.- as they arrive in time to go straight to the cruise ship, where as with Q we would have to fly in the day before & stay overnight because Q arrives at 5.15 pm each day.

Jetstar flies from Perth to Singapore (with morning/afternoon arrival times) and you can also use Qantas points to redeem seats on them...

Re: Disappointed

OK traumax, I have pointed it out to RedRoo. Hopefully they can contact you and get yr contact details. Best of luck.

Re: Disappointed

Unfortunately the problems with the call centre have been around for the last two months - extended wait times approaching an hour even for elite members.

Not sure of the reason why... Qantas thinks it may be due to a busier than normal period with end of school holidays/return to work (etc) - however that doesn't really explain it. Not sure if this is the new normal :(

I have had the same problem before. At one point I waited for the call back while in parallel, used another phone to wait in line. Waiting in line won. QF call centre & its wait times havent been great experiences for me, unfortunately

Re: Disappointed

At our ages ( 87 & 78 ), we find Jet Star too tight & uncomfortable for the 5+ hours to Singapore, so it is worth paying a little extra to go with SIA.
I have yet to arrange a return flight from Beijing.
Any suggestions please?

Re: Disappointed

Jetstar is probably better than QF on the Per-Sin route anyway. At least on Jetstar you can pay for front row seats with legroom.

Is the PEK-PER flight the one you are trying to book an award seat on?

Re: Disappointed

Most sorry

Its Beijing to Perth via ???

On SIA (Singapore Airlines) it will be via Singapore. But a one way fare will be expensive, you'd want to book a round-trip Perth-Singapore-Beijing and back again, with stopovers in Singapore one way or each way depending on your needs.

Trying to remember the seatmap of the JQ A320, but isn't at least part of row 1 still an exit row with the appropriate conditions attached?
