Heavens to Betsy. I worked in Albert Rd 40 years ago and we used to go to the Olive Tree regularly. Just had a 40 year reunion ( and none of us has aged a bit) and the boys arranged dinner there. Well I can tell you the menu hasn't changed in all that time I was astounded to realise it's still going. You chaps have a great time
 
Will be settling into BKK digs that night so obviously cannot make it - more's the pity, I like that place (and the company)!

Seeing as Blacky isn't coming, I have brought a bottle of Blacky wine to the office. Whether it makes it to The Olive Tree or not remains to be seen.

I called last night and got Cecelia - I asked her that very question - she responded 'We are totally out of supplies'!

What could I say but ............................ 'Oh Cecelia - you're breakin' my heart'!

The atmosphere in the restaurant will definitely be better than this morning's weather!. If the "tram" schedule goes to plan hope to be there about 7.00pm.
 
ric I kicked starting time back 320mins to make it easier for Aeolus - so no rush - official start time now 7:30 - ill get there a bit earlier.
 
I will probably stick my head in at a gallery en route, but they close at 7pm, so should be "on time" (circa 7-30pm), subject to a refueling beer.

Found this thread at T-5hrs :D Unfortunately I am out of Melbourne till next week otherwise woulda been there tonight in a flash. I know you guys will have a good night. You guys always do :shock:
