It's unfortunate Pushka, they don't appreciate the work that goes into a good mechanical watch
Until I was 30 I thought the idea of spending more than ~$500 on a watch was crazy. Then after seeing a few friends 'indulge' I realised that, apart from my wedding ring, the only jewelry I would ever wear is a watch so I took the plunge for my 30th birthday and bought an IWC (well technically it was my wife's present to me). I marvel every time I look at the back and se the movement. I don't have any sons so maybe I'll be buried with it...if it's fully wound when I drop off it'll have 7 days on me! I'd love to become a 'watch guy' but I'd also love to continue being a traveller and unfortunately for me they're pretty much mutually exclusive. For the foreseeable future I am the 'mortgage repayment guy'.
