ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

Another one bites the dust !!!!

Change of conditions for ANZ Rewards Black - as from 27 February 2016:

You will not earn Rewards Points on interest charges; premiums paid for ANZ Credit Card Insurance; government
charges; bank fees; payments made to the Australian Taxation Office; card ....

Hi

Is this only for ANZ Rewards Black? What about anz rewards, and anz rewards platinum ?

thank you

No TRS-80 I plan to do quite a bit more AA.
I am not full up with AA miles and I am getting them at a modest cost.

So.....with the demise of ANZ Black......

For new applicants are we now down to US-issued cards and Westpac Black with it's half-earn-rate?
I'm a little confused about the Woolies situation, but the cap is so low it's almost not worth it. Opinions?

Thanks goodness I have a major supplier or two that accept cards - although at 2.42% surcharge they are expensive (although still cheaper than Westpac ATO). Still, one has to keep the suites experiences coming somehow.

I think Bankwest is still good at 1:1 no limit - anyone able to update?

GMOH the Bankwest Platinum is 0.75points per dollar capped at 200,000 QF points. You can get 50,000 sign on if you are a new applicant. Mrscove's card is maxed out so I cannot use it for points earning for a further 10 months.
Had a land tax bill to pay so I used various Visa cards including 2 US ones. The fee to process WA land tax is 0.45% so that is quite reasonable but the land tax did seem to be a mountain.

Thanks cove. Once I had my 50K points in my QF account, I upgraded the card to a BW World MasterCard as that one gets 1:1 on everything. I don't know if there is an annual limit on that card as I'm highly unlikely to teach it. I obtained a reduced annual rate as they'd told me I could, but then retracted the offer, and then I negotiated the offer back again.

Congratulations on getting the World card GMOH. That one is a QF point a dollar and is uncapped. It is a card that others will want but it is by invitation only.

Yes, I only learned later that it was by invitation, but I just rang BW and asked for it and was told to wait until my points came through.

Hi
when did you get that one from ANZ ?????

It was on my ANZ black Frequent Flyer. Nothing on the statement itself but a little black fine print supplement. Last day for ATO Feb 27 :(

Mark3000 that is just so cruel. I have been using two of these ANZ Black cards and one is held by my youngest son. He has been getting a bit under 50,000 QF points a month and was starting to think he was going to fly business class domestically forever. He will need to move to Plan B.

Cove what is plane B And is there a list of cards that we can still get higher points from the ATO payment , it seems to me as soon as we find a card it changes its earn rate or can not be used.
