Now here is a tasty treat for Christmas !! Donut King has made a "mince pie donut" !!

"Kudos to the wise men and women at Donut King who put this Christmas mash-up on the market. It's nothing more than spicy fruit mince encased in a fluffy white doughnut "

Behold Donut King's new mince pie doughnut mash-up

When I was a child, I thought mince pies were made with mince-meat. Now I cannot stomach the thought of eating a mince pie. Yet I quite like a normal pie. Go figure.

So what is in a mince pie?
I like curry pies.

Mince is actually fruit mince. "Fruit mince (or mincemeat as it is also known) can be used in pies, tarts and biscuits. It is most frequently associated with Christmas fruit mince pies."

Traditional Fruit Mince Pies Recipe - Taste.com.au

So it is basically - finely chopped raisins, sultanas, currants, cherries, apricot, cranberries, mixed peel, currants, dates, marmalade, rum, brown sugar and mixed spice.

It also comes in a jar - already made =

but my mother taught me how to make it - so buying was never allowed :D

May go nicely with cabin crackers

If you're going to buy, that's the one to get.

Apparently I work with teenagers who dob on you when you don't do what they want, even though they aren't your manager and you've been kind enough to take on their workload for over a month.

Although you are a long way from either old or treacherous, this quote comes to mind:
Old age and treachery will always beat youth and exuberance

And yes, I've demonstrated it a number of times. :cool:

The problem with this person is that they cant handle their workload, so they are restructuring which would result in a downgrade of their pay level (but not their pay). They are currently one level above me. But for over a month I have been taking on a lot of their work, as my job has been very quiet. I'm happy to help. But yesterday I was happy to help for a while, as long as it didnt interfere with work I actually needed to be doing, and they didnt like being told no. So I got dobbed on. Ridiculous behaviour from an adult.

Glad I've only got a couple of hours in office before heading off for 2 weeks leave.

I have been doing a very good job managing support tasks at work. Company has recently created a new reporting structure and I don't report to the general manager anymore.

She has come out all guns blazing and wants to improve support. So now she is in control and they drip feed me work. That's not going to improve support in fact that is going to stall support. It didn't take long but I have worked it out. I do too much work and the job turn around is quite good. If I was to leave they would require at least 2 staff to do the same work. So how do you deal with that situation? Slow things down. Very smart right? Wrong.

I don't want to play this game. I have been discretely trying to see if I can transfer to another team. See what happens when I get back from leave.

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:

- Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
- Why the early bird gets the worm;
- Life isn't always fair;
- And maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.

It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death,
-by his parents, Truth and Trust,
-by his wife, Discretion,
-by his daughter, Responsibility,
-and by his son, Reason.

He is survived by his 5 stepbrothers;
- I Know My Rights
- I Want It Now
- Someone Else Is To Blame
- I'm A Victim
- Pay me for Doing Nothing

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.

Crikey - when I first saw this video all I could think of was the day blackcat20 and JessicaTam were evicted from QF F Lounge in MEL!

Whilst we never saw first hand their reactions I am tippin' it was pretty close to this!

No such thing, we are both very well behaved ladies. And besides, TomVexille was there as well.... and we weren't evicted anyway.

They should have reacted the same way as you need to do with toddlers. Ignore her and walk away. She was totally working herself up for the camera.

They were all very well behaved until we departed on QF93. Can't comment about what happened after that. (Maybe it was my calming influence) :D :confused:

But we weren't. We left the lounge when our flight was called.
Why are you so defensive about your eviction? You should wear it as a badge of honour!

You can strut around telling people 'I am way more important than Kate Ceberano - at least I got inside QF F before being booted - she couldn't get past the front door'! :D
