This would probably have to be the best Qantas deal to San Francisco I've seen since the route was re-launched.

$999 return ex SYD/MEL/BNE
$1099 return ex ADL/PER

Covers most dates next year, including Easter school holidays. Flights via SYD. Sale ends 25 November.

:) wicked deal

What an absolute steal of a deal!

SFO and the surrounding region is One of the best destinations in the USA and is hard to beat for culture, scenery, food & nightlife.

A week is never enough time in this awesome region.

110 SC ex MEL plus 19600 QFF points ( Platinum QFF members).... Makes the deal a winner.

It is a 747, versus the A380 on the LAX route....

QF17/18 are the same price....(being 747)

LAX prices have been cheaper than SFO since the reintroduction of SFO though, so just thought it quirky that SFO was now around 50% less than LAX for this 'sale'.

True true. Its a great deal. I want to get to Houston late next year and this fare would be a good start....

I couldn't pass up the J return ticket for $4998! Any J ticket to the US for $5k or less is a no-brainer!

Great deal, but who travels long haul economy on this forum???? And paid economy at that!!????

Rolls eyes and tongue in cheek combined emoticon...

Just booked 2 X J fares to SFO in May for 10k and consider it the bargain of the year, especially as I will be WP for the year following this trip.

As a self funded traveller I'd personally do it. Would be happy to take on a challenge to show people how to retain QF plat for around AUD$3.5k.

Interesting that the add-on to start/finish in PER is only AU$100...

Anyone able to interpret the fare rules with respect to converting from the sale fare to PEY at a later date?

Happy wandering

Fred
