Looked at that bit about passports and thought much the same.
Then realised that AA, NZ, JQ, QF, BA, CX, QR, DL, KA, AF, AY, CA, EK, EY, SQ etc, etc already have my passport info so I decided that adding AV too that list wasn't all that painful.
Got a reply within a couple of minutes (translated from Portuguese)
"Hello, Your request will be analyzed and, if eligible, within 30days after the end of the promotion will be answered. We appreciate yourparticipation in the promotion. Best regards"
By that time frame I should have an answer by Dec 30
