I am not usually a fan of QF or social media, but I am impressed that Red Roo was on to this within 2 minutes of it being posted.

In the airlines best interests to do so. This is exactly what Qantas would want their social media team to respond to.

If this gets out, a visit from the health inspector could be on the cards.

Posting a response from the social media team in Auckland doesn't mean anything was done. I note that no followup requests from the OP were made.

Shame, Has happened to me before at various places (usually fast food), just indicates they aren't rotating stock correctly, and it was way past expected usage.

Does make me wonder what bun I had for my fish burger the other day .... Hmm, I didn't check under the bun (perhaps I should have).

QF serves something that looks like a poorly made fast-food product in the F lounge?

Gourmet Burgers ( sliders) are very cool.
I'm confident the F lounge recipe won't disappoint.

Besides , if it's ok for Rockpool to serve macaroni cheese. Then it's ok to get a fish Burger in the F lounge.

Yes it's not the presence of a burger. It's the simple/basic/fast-foody presentation that I questioned. I would have expected some interesting accompaniments. It just looks very plain to me; not something I would expect in a restaurant which is the style that I thought the F lounge was aiming to serve.

With the mac and cheese reference I guess you're saying that the F lounge is closer to the less fancy Rockpool Bar & Grill menu (or perhaps even the Burger Project menu) which sometimes serves a mac and cheese side. The actual Rockpool never has unless it jumped the shark while I wasn't looking. Given that I can see how the burger fits in.

I should imagine Sofitel has been issued with a very stern please explain from Qantas.

I think it is the old money saver, 'do wonderful things with left-overs, reheat them'.

But, someone said it is actually quite nice, without the mould. It looks unappetising to me whichever.

looks like the fish burger has been enhanced - i seem to recall it being more substantial with the pink ginger etc before. this looks like a bad mcdonald's effort (with mould aside).

The Bread is alive and feeding the mould like cheese you pay good money for moldy cheese ( green in color) !!
