Well, put Queensland into the 'dangerous due to natural hazards' category!

The second >5 earthquake this year. :shock: Geoscience Australia has it all sized up.

Nice to see the locals being stoic and all that ...

I was on the phone to mrsdrron at home when the quake struck.Her phone started making strange noises and I couldn't hear her for a while.She didn't feel any shaking though.

I found a stick that was on my windowsill, now on the floor. I'm trying to hold it together in these tough times.

Didn't feel a thing down here on the GC. But I slept through one of the CHC quakes in ZQN too (others said they felt it).

I was in an earthquake in SFO once. They do them properly over there...

I certainly felt the Newcastle quake, we lived in the Hunter Valley then. But this one only my phone reacted - it went dead - I had to turn it off then on again ! Nothing fell over at our place. I missed the after shocks as I flew to Sydney that day.

Tassie got into the act on Monday.And it made the local news.But it was only a 3.Was at Roseberry and they reported it could be felt up to 23km away.
Wow.

We have experienced a couple in Tokyo as well.One a couple of years ago made the Westin shake for several minutes.

I remember that one, we were lying on the bed .... and was that bed moving !!! :shock:
