Unusual photo illusion

On a recent flight, I snapped a pic out the window and got an unusual effect. Looks a bit like we've thrown a blade or two! :shock:

I'm sure others have similar pics, but I'd just never seen it quite like that before.

Wow. Yes, I've had the photo where the prop looks like it's not moving at all, but this one looks like it's falling off. Great pic.

Thats why seats 4A and 4D on the Dash8-300 are not my favourite yet where I get allocated 90% of the time. And this story from Air Canada.
 
It's how digital cameras work as they 'scan'. I have some from NZ ATR's and Saabs that I'll try to remember to dig up.
