Family pooling of SC and points

Sorry if this is a dumb question or has been answered before but how many times can you change the pooling of points and SCs between 2 people? Is it unlimited? I'm only asking because it appears that my SC earn is going to average about 800, so not enough to reach WP and it would be so much better if my partner and I could both be at SG.

Thanks, PF. I thought I'd read somewhere that it was limited but I'm thinking that may be for different people rather than changing back and forth between the same 2 people.

I think transfer of points is limited but pooling SCs is unlimited changes allowed.

And you say you will earn 800 SCs, which is enough to requalify for WP.

As indicated you can change pooling as often as you like. Although I would not do it more frequently than once per day and at least the day before you plan to benefit from pooling; this is to avoid any doubt regarding dates etc.

Do note though that, along with the 500/400 SC's (for Qual/ReQual), each of you will still require the 4 individual earning eligible sectors on VA flight numbers every year for SG. (It's 8 for WP.) These cannot be pooled/transferred.

oh, I did not realise this, thanks for pointing that out. Is that only for the requalify of the gifted/companion Gold membership, or in the first instance also?

Any normal qualification or requalifcation. I am not sure how this relates to gifted status.

Not required for the initial gifting but then required each year for requalification. You can gift to the same person every year though if you earn enough status credits.
