Got an email this morning a few days early congratulating me on surviving another swing around the sun. Had some offers included in it.

15% off "a reward of your choice" at the Q store.
10% off selected bday wines from epiQure. Fine print says not available with other offers including bonus points, so that will be a miss.
50 bonus points on Q dining.

Nice to have a little message, would probably prefer if it didn't come with any offers though, they're a bit dubious on value. Anyone else received anything similar and has anyone noted when this has started? I don't remember it happening during my exceptionally long 6 year tenure with QFF so far.

Yes, I received the same email with the same offers a few months ago.

Ditto. The only thing that interested me was the wine, but still to expensive for my budget.

Happy birthday for a few days time :)

Time for a class action AND complaints to the Discrimination Commissioner!

Been QFF for nearly 30 years and never an email - not even before email existed!

I'm thinking it's maybe new for this year? A Ford Forum is the only place I have regulary received good birthday tidings from, year before last BOTH of my parents got it wrong. Father was a day early and Mother was a day late. They averaged out to be correct but it isn't really the point...

Got such email also today:

Spoil yourself during your birthday month

blah blah

I got one today too ... same offers on Qantas store and epiQure ... birthday not until later on the month. There was some reference to "birthday month"!

I got this email today also... My birthdays the 8th, so they must just send it out on the first to everybody.

The offers are a bit meh ( I didn't get the Q dining offer, only the other two) I actually would have found a nice thank you email more sincere however its still a nice marketing driven gesture :D

Happy Birthday for all the other June babies out there!

Why would you think that??!!

It's a generous birthday gift from Qantas!!
Because they value my hard earned points at <0.07cents/point and then offer me a not so generous 10% off their overpriced items.

You can't both under value QFF points and overprice goods in the Qantas store. One needs to give way to make it look even remotely attractive.
