I though I would ask this here as its related... Im looking at refinancing my home loan. Been offered 4.25% Variable, 4.29% fixed 3 years. Now from my looking around I don't think rates are going to fall much, but i also dont really see them going up in the short term either.
What are other peoples thoughts and advice?

Lets just say last time i fixed i shouldn't have...Similar idea to you. I'd be inclined to fix it over a 3 year horizon. Variable if it was 1 year. I'd say we might see one or at most 2 more cuts before we start heading back the other way some time next year. Across the 3 years, I'm inclined to lean towards slightly higher average than the current level. But we're all just guessing really. How does your intuition normally fare with these things?

Now that the $AUD is not going right back up I have joined and started using topcashback rebate sites in the UK and the US.
Rebates lower the cost of buying at retail so every bit helps.

Ubank doing 4.09 variable with no fees. Anyone with Ubank and have good/bad experience?
