Nothing came up on first page of the search, so thought I'd start a thread. I've got an upcoming stay at a Best Western Plus property for a conference, and as such investigated their rewards program, Best Western Rewards.

They have a "status match, no catch" promotion which caught my eye so I sent in my latest IHG Platinum statement, and was comped Diamond level in BWR, which is the top tier of their program, usually granted after 30 nights of stay. The Program's Benefits include usual points bonus, but also reference upgrades to the "best available room", though the T&Cs are unclear as to whether this is in the US Only.

Interested if anyone has experience with this program, particularly in Australia? Are upgrades likely?

I applied and received the status match, and then a complimentary status upgrade to the top tier for my "continued loyalty"..
Never stayed at a Best Western, well not in a number of years... But thought it may come in handy for regional work trips ( which working for an NGO, are very rare)

They don't recognize the program in Australia.

It is pretty much USA and Canada only to get in promotions and benefits etc.
