Cider coming to a seat near you.

Was talking to an FA on today's travels and she informed me that in the new year QF will be serving Cider as an addition to the current beverages. In all classes I might add.
She believes it is 'Five Seeds' Cider, which is made/owned by Tooheys. AFAIK it is certainly at the lower end of the scale as far as taste and flavor, but better than nothing.
I wish they would start serving James Squires beers on board!!!

James Squire 50 lashes is served on most Domestic J flights.... Well it was over the weekend I found.

As for cider being served I couldn't agree more, particularly in summer, nothing beats a refreshing cider to cleanse the pallet.

I'm in the camp "anything but strongbow" ..... If QF do decide On Five seeds that is much better than that ghastly strongbow :)

I agree on that one! I left my beverage purchases to the last minute on new years eve, and all the good cider was gone already so 'had to' buy strongbow, was on rum by midnight ... ;)

Will see if I can have a cider tomorrow night

How did you go?

I tried on QF767 again last night, but no cider could be found. The FA said she thought it was supposed to be on all flights now, but then suggested that I could try flying via Sydney. Hmmm.

mrpooky.

Oops, forgot to report back.

Asked if cider was available, was given the affirmative until the FA actually tried to find one... so no cider for me. :(

Don't touch the stuff myself but noticed cider in the cart on QF536 SYD-BNE yesterday afternoon.
