Flew down to Mel for SYD this mooring and saw my old pet hate. The pax in 1B with her terrible blue coloured sneakers firmly planted on the bulkhead. Her sole was touching the reading material pocket.

I think thats disgusting and expect better from a women in her 60's. I was tempted to ask if she would do it do it at home but bit my tongue.

Am I weird thinking this?

Not at all.
On a Melbourne to Sydney flight about 12 months ago I saw a high profile Opposition minister of Parliament in 1B do the same with total disregard to the cabin staff. I would have taken a photo but sitting in 2 it was a bit hard.
crass !!

CLASS

First in seating

Last in manners

I'm sure had the pax have longer legs, those sneakers would be on the ottoman .... with all the street dirt & germs.

In November was in the EK lounge in BKK and somebody had their bare feet on top of the low tables in the lounge (ie, non-dining area). Grossed me out....

Yuck. That lounge is so lovely it's a shame people do that.

Mind you the guy talking loudly non stop on his phone gave me the irrits. He was going through his contacts list to see who he could call.

Class of seating or lounge does not ensure class of customer.. or common courtesy/manners or decency.. sadly.

:(

haha you should fly Air China! I couldn't tell if everyone is permanently angry or they're all just a part of that generation that thinks they need to shout because the person on the other end is >100kms away...

I suspect he just got off that flight.

MrP travelled on China Air a couple of years ago. The mother and daughter were having a serious fight that lasted the whole trip of two hours. He was ready to join in to stop both of them.

Thought I'd add to the collection.
QF23 SYD to BKK in J.
It was bare feat then with shoes.
And the other challenge was what appeared to be young kids running up and down the aisles. Plus with other kids in the cabin it was like a creche - only unsupervised.
How quickly parents attempt to control their kids then they just give up, put the headphones on and ignore it all.
