Flying from SYD to Koh Samui with SWMBO later this month in Y on MH, with a 5 hour layover in KUL...with an onward connection on Bangkok Airways with a MH flight no.

We arrive in KL at 3.20am and as a QF WP I assume we will have access to at least a couple of lounges, any suggestions as to the best one to suit our needs which is probably just a shower and breakfast?

My research shows the Golden lounge satellite and the golden lounge regional...I am assuming that we arrive from SYD near the satellite lounge and depart to USM from the regional lounge. Also are they both open 24/7?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Not sure if you will be allowed access on a non oneworld operated flight (Bangkok Airways).

If you are, as WP (OWE) you can get into the first class side of the Golden lounge satellite (where most long haul flights operate from). I think it might even have its own showers but if not the other side of the lounge, the business side, has them. At meal times there is a limited menu to choose from but at other times there is a buffet. There are proper dining tables. The business side has more food options but the first class side has always been a lot quieter with very attentive staff, in my experience.

Interesting point...I was thinking as it is one booking SYD-KUL-USM and the KUL- USM is marketed as a MH flight no. that I would be OK but you may have a point?
