Hello all,

Can anyone tell me what the 762 and 763 cabin for Ansett was like?

Was there F and J and Y or just J and Y?

Thx :)

Chris.

for domestic operations they had three classes. F and J seating was the same - 2+2+2. There were no formal cabin dividers between F and J, but the last row of F had a small insert placed into the headrest to indicate the end of the cabin.

Awesome! Thanks.

Once F was dropped did the seating change?

I was trying to remember that, but I don't recall how long (or even if) ansett was around after F was dropped completely?

IIRC there wasn't any change in seating. Would have been similar to TAA/Australian Airlines... the old F class seats became the new business.

Yes there was a business seat around the 90's as I recall as well as F on some flights. Now there will be many Ansett aficionados out there that will correct me if I'm mistaken

that's right... they had international operations too. The 767 international (I flew it from Hong Kong) was a 1-2-2 configuration IIRC (or something similar... might have been 2-2-1), with vastly increased legroom and recline over the domestic version.

No first class on the 767 international.

I did my flight in conjunction with VS to HKG. So there might have been a partnership VS/AN at some stage?

Very old memory but I think AN DOM F had bigger seat pitch than J. Cheers skip

I flew in F class once.... A captain in uniform was dead ending (whatever) in the seat next to me... Those days a tie and jacket was required for F seat!
