"The number of individual flights to and from Europe sold by Qantas has tripled under its alliance with Emirates compared with its previous partnership with British Airways, says Qantas boss Alan Joyce." AFR

According to the article, QANTAS flight sales were about 400K with the BA tie-up, and about 1.2M with Emirates.

Is that QF flight numbers though or EK flight numbers sold via QF web site?

Probably as far as QF as a business is concerned it doesn't matter as its (presumably) all revenue generating.....

Reading the article it suggests the 1.2M was total pax on QF codes across both QF & EK aircraft.

"The flights include those on Qantas aircraft to and from London and *Emirates flights to and from a long list of European destinations." AFR

I imagine it would be tickets issued on Qantas 'stock', which means there is at least one QF flight number in the itinerary and the agent/system elects to ticket it to QF. In these cases, QF get the revenue then distribute it based on what flights are flown, by whom, on what flight numbers.

Certainly our experience would match the increase he refers to.
