*Earn up to triple Velocity Points: Offer is valid for
qualifying stays completed between 01 November 2014 and 31 January 2015
(“Promotion Period”) at any participating hotel within the Hilton
Worldwide Portfolio (view participating brands).
To register and start earning double or triple Velocity Points per
eligible US$1 spent, Hilton HHonors members must first register at HHonors.com/3XVelocityPoints
prior to check-out of your stay within the Promotion Period. Registered
HHonors members will only receive bonus miles for qualifying stays
completed during the Promotion Period, regardless of a check-in date
before the Promotion Period begins or a check-out date after the
Promotion Period ends. Certain negotiated and group rates are ineligible

Double Velocity Points can be earned for qualifying
stays at participating hotels and resorts within the Hilton Worldwide
portfolio globally. “Double Velocity Points” means you will earn
4 Velocity Points per eligible US$1 spent (2 standard Velocity Points
and 2 bonus Velocity Points) for qualifying stays completed at a
participating Waldorf Astoria™ Hotels & Resorts, Conrad[SUP]®[/SUP]
Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, DoubleTree by
Hilton™, Embassy Suites Hotels™, Hilton Garden Inn™, Hampton™ Hotels,

Triple Velocity Points will only be earned for
qualifying stays at participating hotels and resorts within the Hilton
Worldwide portfolio in Asia-Pacific. “Triple Velocity Points” means you
will receive bonus Points equal to twice the number of Base Points
earned during an eligible stay - 6 Velocity Points per eligible US$1
spent (2 base Velocity Points and 4 bonus Velocity Points) for

Thanks for the info. I see that reward stays are ineligible for this promo. I wonder if that means the incidental spend as well (which is normally eligible).

I guess that ineligibility rules my holiday out and I'll stick with the double HH points offer.

I find the promotion is a bit vague. When do you get triple points and when do you get double?

It says when we stay at participating hotels including the three listed. The link to participating brands just brings up participating brands rather than hotels, so I wonder if the three hotels listed are the only ones that attract the 3X rate?

Interesting - with Velocity you normally earn 2 points per USD spend ... I guess I'll find out in January ...

Anyway, I would be credting to Velocity anyway.

As for Airline earn for incidentals on reward stays when points and miles is selected, the T&C's state no - they have for many years, but sometimes it happens. I simply go point and points for awards as I do not want to take the risk.

In reading the text again, it looks like the 3X earn (6points per US$1) is for all Asia Pacific hotels. 2X earn (4points per U$1) for everywhere else.

Looks like I may do the MyWay shuffle from stay to stay depending upon whether it's a reward or a paid stay.

That was my thoughts.

I don't have that many Hilton stays but used to credit to VS. This is a no brainer now that Velocity points can be transferred to SQ KrisFlyer.

It's actually very clear - at least my USA stays should earn 4 Velocity Per US$:
