The view from my "office"

re: The view from my "office"

Oh, oh. The forecast view doesn't look great.

Gah! Worse ... Sunday morning:

Yep, feels like -18. I've had down to -35 in Calgary and -40 something when I lived in northern Quebec, but have only brought my medium coat here, good for about -10.

I was planning to go into the office this morning, but managed to find excuses to put it off till after lunch. Its a half hour walk, but on a Sunday? In this weather? I took the lazy option:

'Car2Go' is great. All over the town, book the nearest one on-line (in this case right outside my apartment :) ), pay by the minute.

And this is the view from my office (which I think I've posted before):

From snow to tropical FNQ. Sun flooding the valley over Trinity Inlet and the Cairns fleet getting ready set for another day. Images taken from prime upgrade (thanks Hilton H) corner suite on the exec level at the Cairns Hilton.

Truly wish there were more Anne Sansom's , Exec Lounge Manager @ the Cairns H. in my travels, she is worth her weight in gold.

From the IC in Adelaide? We were there the other week, very pleasant, especially as it was for a concert, not for work.

Edit: I suppose it's just as well that it was a private trip as the IC (and Club) is not within the non-SES travel rate! Just trying to work out how I could explain a breach

Doesn't Calgary have those heated and enclosed walkways between buildings in the CBD?

Yikes, RF,. I'm becoming more glad by the day that I came in September ;). It was a toasty +37.8 in PER yesterday and beaches were packed.
