Curious on the number of P1's in Perth / Adelaide as a ratio compared to the likes of Mel, Sydney, Brisbane?

These enhancements are obviously meant to try to maintain your P1 customers - who are, with all due respect a relatively small but none the less important group of customers. But where are the enhancements for the much larger number of Platinum and Gold members - who not only make up a much larger proportion of your loyal customers - but no doubt also play a very important part in promoting QF by word of mouth.

Platinums and Golds are only there to hold up the pyramid.

Qantas obviously feels that stroking the egos of 3000 odd Platinum Ones will keep Qantas afloat.

WA P1 here. There isnt many that live in WA from what i have seen anyways.

Has anyone had success with accessing this benefit yet? I registered Mr AirKat for this around 7am on the 7th (day of announcement) and it still hasn't come through. I'm surprised it takes so long.

Spoke with QFF on Friday and they are having issues processing it so it has to be done manually. For Mrs Ansett they expect to do that today but only because I rang and asked what was happening. May suggest you do the same

I had a completely different experience, registered for the benefit the day after the announcement and it was sorted within 3 hours. Still waiting for the updated membership pack of course.

Madame's status is now showing as platinum on the website but, likewise, no new card as yet.

Thanks all. I forwarded the confirmation email to the P1 team and they responded to say it had not registered on their end. He has been re-registered with a timeframe quoted of 3 days. We'll see!

My wife's new card and bag tags came through yesterday. Ordered on the day of the announcement. November 15 expiry

Wow oh wow. I must be a little late to all this but i was researching something tonight and had to refer to the QF status benefits page for the first time in a long time.

The new 'Platinum 1' column of benefits now includes 17 items which are not available to platinums. The way they have listed it makes platinum look rather sad!
